Who's The Next Big Artist?, Its Mz. Coxx

Mz Coxx is a new artist with two hits buzzing the industry. The club based "Go Head" and the sex song "Headboard" featuring drill legend Lil Durk. We sat down to talk to Mz. Coxx for a brief interview to get to know more about her.

Great to have you please introduce yourself?

MC: Noo! Thank you for having me! I’m Mz. Coxx, East Atlanta’s finest, the modern day Rockstar. I’m an all around artist/entertainer. I rap , I write, I sing here and there, I act, I model… the list goes on ! I I do some of it all lol.

2- What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?

MC: I’ve always been a lover of music , especially all genres. And in school I always loved to write, English was my favorite subject outside of math. I realized it was something I wanted to do writing music and performing came so naturally to me. I wrote my first verse at 10 in my family’s basement so I definitely can say that that sparked everything up.

3- Tell us about your new Single. And what’s the story behind it?

MC: Headboard is a very grown and sexy vibe ! I call it a baby maker record because it definitely will make you want to grab the headboard.

4- What makes your music unique? How would you describe it?

MC: My music is unique because I like to classify it as “mood music” basically meaning there is a song not only for everyone) , but any mood you may be in. Whether you’re happy , sad, feeling good, feeling misused and abused. I got the record for you.

5- What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

MC: I hate to sound taboo but I would say never give up ! Don’t let anyone tell you you can’t do it, and stay consistent.

6- Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to

collaborate with in the future?

MC: My number one inspiration is Missy Elliott! I love love love her! She’s a true entertainer and performer from start to finish! I also love Eve, Monie Love, and Lil Kim, I’m definitely a girls girl, and respect the legendary queens that came before me! I would love to work with my inspiration missy Elliott of course , and others like Usher, Normani, Friday, and of course my fellow Atlanta sis Latto.

7- If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?

MC: The best piece of advice or message I would say would be to stay true to yourself. It’s easy to get overly consumed with what's going on around you, so you just have to stay the course and be focused.

8- What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?

MC: I would definitely say expect the unexpected! You never know what will come from Mz. Coxx Definitely new music, my album is about 85 percent done so its coming soon for sure, tour, hopefully some more acting in movies and series. Oh, and merch for sure!
